Rick Dunlap, 66, of Battle Creek passed away on Feb. 7, 2022 at Bronson Battle Creek due to Covid-19.
He was born on July 4, 1955 in Jackson, MI to Robert and Monabell (Schofield) Dunlap.
Rick attended Battle Creek Public Schools. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with a GED. He attended Michigan Career and Technical Institute in Plainwell where he learned to become a watch and clock maker. He worked for several jewelers; opening his own business, Rick's House of Time in the 1990's.
Rick married the love of his life, Renee (Stevens) on June 9, 1979. They have two sons, Duane and Jason Dunlap, both of Battle Creek. He is also survived by a sister, Vickie Hall as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and Richard.
Rick worked for Battle Creek Public Schools in transportation for many years. He also worked at Asama Coldwater Manufacturing, Inc. as a forklift driver and in shipping and receiving.
Rick enjoyed golfing, watching sports and adventure movies on TV. He especially liked taking his family and their friends on day trips to Lake Michigan and other areas. He enjoyed board games and reading his Bible. Rick was a devoted father and husband.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
