Rick Haan Obituary
Rick was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud "Bumpa" to his grandchildren. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, always taking time to connect with others. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids-whether cheering them on at sporting events, planning road trips (complete with gas price calculations), or bringing popsicles across the street to his favorite neighborhood kids.
After Ruth's passing, Rick honored her memory by embracing her love of baking, faithfully working through her recipe box and continuing her famous Snickers cheesecake tradition.
A member of Cascade Fellowship CRC, Rick found community in his church family, volunteering and building lasting friendships. His love for God was evident in every aspect of his life.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held as follows, Visitation Sunday, August 3, 2025, 4:00–8:00 PM, and Monday, August 4, 2025, 10:00–11:00 AM, at Cascade Fellowship CRC, 6655 Cascade Rd, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Memorial Service Monday, August 4, 2025, 11:00 AM

So sorry to hear of the passing of Rick... Rick and Doug and Ken lived across the street from my brother and me growing up. Lots of good memories from "back in the day"... Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends in this sad and difficult times...

Worked with him at Hilltop auto. He was one of the most loving and caring people I have ever hade the privilege of knowing. He always had candy for you and we nicknamed him the candy man love you buddy may you and you family find peace and comfort.
