Rick L. Ivy, 74, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Rick was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 20, 1951 to the late Roy James and Mildred (Meier) Ivy. He was a graduate of Reitz High School and began his working career as a teenager at Evansville Supply Company with his father, later serving as Vice President and President. Rick owned his own computer business where he consulted and developed software programs. During retirement, he spent his time woodworking and remodeling homes. Rick was passionate about music and played percussion instruments with the Rodenberg boys and in other local bands through the 60's,70's and 80's. He enjoyed camping, hunting, boating and fishing with his son. Rick will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Rick is survived by his son, Ross Ivy (Maxson Overby); brother, Gary Ivy (Carole); grandchildren, Rosslyn Ivy, Sophia Ivy, and Ian Madden; niece, Chelsea Means; nephew, Corey Ivy; and mother of his child, Roxie Ivy.
No services will be held at Browning Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
