EUNICE - On Monday, October 30, 2023, Rickey McCauley, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 69 years.
Rickey's life will be celebrated with a Chapel Service to be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Rickey was born on October 26, 1954 to Vincent and Mary Dean O'Pry McCauley. He dedicated his career to working in the oilfield as a tool pusher. Rickey was especially devoted to his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Rebecca McCauley of Eunice; his son Rickey McCauley Jr. and wife Bridget of Richard; step-children Damon Pellican and wife Angela of Las Vegas, Melanie Pellican and husband Lucas Cormier of Lanse Meg, Ryan Pellican of Scott and Stephanie Smith of Eunice; sister Bernadine Edwards and husband Danny of Eunice; and the seven joys of his life: Jared Pellican, Makayla Veillon, Chloe Fruge, Grady Cormier, Noah Pellican, Carter McCauley, and Tyler McCauley. Rickey also leaves behind two great-grandchildren: Rylie and Remmi Veillon. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and dear friends who hold him forever in their hearts.
Rickey is preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Mary Dean O'Pry McCauley, as well as his daughters Mandy McCauley and Katie McCauley, and stepson Cary Pellican.
