Rickey Swaim Obituary
Yadkinville – Rickey Allen Swaim, 77, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was born March 25, 1948 in Forsyth County to the late Richard Wesley Swaim and Maggie Sprinkle Swaim. Rickey enjoyed spending time with his horses and was known to his friends and family as being a good ole cowboy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Swaim, Roger Swaim. He is survived by his children, Timmy (Ann Vanhoy) Swaim, Marti (Brent) Shore; grandchildren, Lane (Julia) Swaim, Jordan Shore, Morgan (Denver Stokes) Swaim, Graylyn Shore, Ashlyn Shore; great grandchildren, Violet Swaim, Van Swaim, Conway Stokes; bonus grandson, Jason Jones; bonus great grandson, Kason Jones; and special cuz/friend, Eugene Swaim. His memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Joel Riley and the Rev. Chris Hauser. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 516 Hawthorne Drive, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Swaim family.
