Ricky Edward Baker was born April 30th 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Mauldin High School and proudly served in the Army National Guard. Ricky was the eldest son of the late Jess Edward Baker and Dorothy Jane Baker (Ayers) of Maryville, Tennessee.
A free spirit with a love for the open road, Ricky traveled extensively along the East Coast. He was a talented plumber by trade, with an interest for restoring classic cars and motorcycles. In his later years, he made his home in Arden, North Carolina.
Ricky is survived by his son, Jeremiah Bolinger of Maryville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Cheyenne Gulley; and three beloved grandchildren: Raelyn, Axton, and Maesyn Gulley. He is also survived by two brothers, Wesley Baker of Greenville, South Carolina and David Gibson of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Gulley, who passed away in February of this year.
Ricky will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, skilled hands, and the special love he held for animals.
