Ricky and I first met as deputy sheriff's for Fresno County in the 1970's. Although i never had the opportunity to work the same shift as Ricky, our paths often crossed. Ricky was an excellent deputy; reliable, dependable and a good guy to have with you when things didn't look good.
Ricky and I also had the opportunity to play on the sheriff's department football team during the "Pig bowl" times. It was good to have him on your side.
In the later years, after we had both been retired, we met once again on the golf courses of Fresno. All i ever had to do was pick up the telephone and Ricky was ready to chase that ball. He could hit it a mile. I knew better than to get involved with him and others on the wagering as his skills were over my head.
Ricky: I miss you buddy; I love you and I pray, and know, that your cares are gone.
God Bless You!!
