Ricky J Hart, born on March 8, 1959, in Fayette County, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Washington Court House, Ohio, on January 14, 2026.
Ricky began his career in the food industry, working at and eventually running the original Wendy's Restaurant in Washington Court House. He was a skilled machinist, holding positions at Mac Tools, YUSA, and Riten Industries throughout his professional journey.
Ricky was known for his unique personality; while he didn't smile much, he had other ways of expressing his happiness. He found joy in riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, tattoos, and enjoyed unwinding with a cold Keystone Light. He was a long-time listener and contributer to the local Sell and Swap Shop radio program, always trying to find a deal. Marrying his wife, Dee Ann (Dilley) Hart on April 25, 1996, brought him great happiness, and they shared many moments together, often sitting on their porch and enjoying each other's company.
Family was immensely important to Ricky. He was a father to Amy Hart, Morgan (Dana) Wood, Stefan (Tisa) Shields, and Michael Smith, and a beloved "papaw," to Layla J, Lyndi J, Annie, Archer, Tesla, and Garret. Ricky also leaves his siblings—Pam (Joe) Paul, Dale (Sheryl) Hart, and Chris (Donna) Hart—as well as his sisters-in-law, Robin (Ben) Norman and Michele Dilley.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Denver J and Mary (Penwell) Hart, and a brother-in-law, Bobby Dilley. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memorable stories that will forever resonate within the hearts of his family and friends.
