Ricky "Slick" Maddox

November 23, 1965 - August 3, 2025

Funeral services celebrating the life of Ricky "Slick" Maddox will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Fall Creek Funeral Home, Pineville with the Rev. Steve Honeycutt officiating, followed by interment in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Ruby.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and again on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.

Mr. Maddox, age 59 of Poland entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 3, 2025 due to injuries sustained in a tragic accident near his home.

Affectionately known as "Slick" by the entire community, Ricky was a jack-of-all trades. He was a graduate of Rapides High School. His passion was being self employed as a small engine mechanic, especially lawn mowers. He could fix and make anything work. He also worked in construction with his brother, Kevin. Whether he was working on small engines, tinkering, or collecting scrap iron, Slick was a fixture in the Poland community. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him.

"Slick" is preceded by his father, Winston Maddox, Sr., and his brother, Adam Keith Maddox.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Maddox of Latanier, La., two sisters, Nancy Elizabeth Johnson (Jason) of Deville and Amanda Bordelon (Josh) of Glenmora, and four brothers, Winston Maddox, Jr., (Donna) of Poland, Paul Maddox (Regina) of Poland, Kevin Maddox (Christine) of Fifth Ward and Ruben Maddox (Michelle) of Colfax, and his best friend, David Peart (Susan) of Poland.

Also survived by many nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers honored to carry "Slick" will be; Kevin James Maddox, Kurt Maddox, Travis Maddox, Robert Pape, Jeremy Maddox, and Keyan Bordelon.

Honorary pallbearers will be; Zac Maddox, Blaize Bordelon, Chase Pape and David Peart.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fall Creek of Louisiana, 1800 Military Hwy., Pineville, Robbie Dauzat, Director.
