Ricky Pope Obituary
Graveside funeral services for Ricky Carl Pope, age 72 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Thurmon Foskey and Rev. Tyler Daniel will officiate.
Mr. Pope was born December 14, 1952, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Carl Pope and Leola Daniels Pope. He was also preceded in death by his son, Anthony Neal Pope; and 2 brothers, James “Jimmy” Carl Pope and Hilton Pope, Sr. He was a member of Marie Baptist Church. He retired from the Fire Department for the City of Dublin. Mr. Pope passed away, Friday, November 28, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Pope is survived by his wife, Jan Pope of Dexter; a son, Drayton (Danielle) Pope of Dexter; a brother, Douglas Pope of Dublin; 2 sisters, Thelma Foskey of Dublin, and Glenda Rowland of Dublin, and 10 grandchildren, Cayse Thomson, Cartar Pope, Brendan Pope, Caden Pope, Riley Pope, Luke Pope, Colton Pope, Abigail Pope, Addison Pope and Harper Jo Pope
Pallbearers will be Cayse Thomson, Caden Pope, David Register, Brendan Pope, Robert Lee, and Luke Pope.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Fire Department for the City of Dublin.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 PM Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
