Ricky Sowell Obituary
Ricky was a member of West Shiloh Baptist Church, where he shared his love for teaching by leading a Sunday school class. His faith was an important part of his life. He enjoyed reading the Bible daily and embraced the teachings it offered.
In his spare time, Ricky pursued various hobbies that included carpentry and building things, which showcased his creativity and skill. He also found joy in gardening, tending to his plants with care and dedication.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Joanie Sowell and Julie Sowell. Ricky was a proud grandfather to Whitney Provence, Milli Sowell, Aubrey Sowell, and Maxdon Hopper. He also cherished his great-grandson, Waylon Provence. In addition, he is remembered by his sister, Elizabeth Hill, and his ex-wife, Martha Sowell.
Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Oberia Sowell; father, Lawrence Sowell; and two brothers, Jimmy Sowell and Larry Sowell. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
