Ricky Odell Thompson

Ricky Odell Thompson - Age 71, of Burton, passed away July 13, 2025. Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Pastor Philip Martin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family to assist with expenses. Ricky was born April 22, 1954 in Flint, the son of William Oliver and Edith Muriel (Newton) Thompson. He loved watching drag racing and football at all levels. He enjoyed working on cars and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed going for long drives. Ricky was a kind, generous man, always helping others. He is survived by his children, Katie Howard, Joleen (Michael) Diehl and Ricky S. Thompson; grandchildren, Kyle Howard, Sarah Howard, Kelsey Diehl, Mykella Diehl and Jaylynn Diehl; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Edith Jeannete Cocherell and James Earl Thompson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, William Doise Thompson, Thomas Howard Thompson, Garland Wayne Thompson, Michael Lynn Thompson and Kenneth James Thompson.
