Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and true friend to so many has passed through the veil to a joyous reunion of her Heavenly Father and many loved ones.
She was born in Firth, Idaho, to Lapreal Heaton Frandsen and Perry Lacartus Frandsen, the seventh and sixth daughter. She attended a little two-roomed school in Kimball, Idaho, from the ages of 4 - 7, when her family moved to Bountiful, Utah in the year of 1935. Her family moved again to Carter, Wyoming, when she was 9. These few years were poignant memories of hard work, the love of a close family, the beauty and the harshness of nature. She finished the 8th grade here, which was the end of her schooling until she decided to go to "Beauty School" in her early 20s and learn how to style hair. Her Dad loaned her the money to buy a beauty salon, which is when she decided to officially change her name from Rilda to Jeanne and named her salon Jeanne's Beauty Salon in Bountiful, Utah, where she, her sister, and others built a thriving business for over 30 years.
When she was 48, she attended Davis High to receive her High School Diploma and then attended the University of Utah to receive her Bachelor's degree in teaching and became a grade school teacher. She soon became famous for her ability to teach children to read and sing, she taught into her late eighties. She loved teaching, and the children loved her too.
She is the mother of Russell, Rebecca, Robert, and Layne Hall.
Preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Vivian, Bernice, Gwen, Grace, Miles, Donna, David, and Joyce, who was raised as a sister. Her sons, Robert and Layne, and 6 grandchildren. Survived by two children, Russell (Debbie) Hall, Bountiful, Utah, and Rebecca "Becky" (Richard) Poppe, Portage, Utah, 12 grandchildren, and 49 great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
She was also known as Grandma Jeanne to many more who shared a mutual grandmotherly love.
She was devout in her testimony of Heavenly Father and put that first in her life decisions. She was an excellent cook, entertainer, and the hardest worker of us all. Right up to her last days, she was determined to stay busy.
We want to extend a sincere thank you to those who cared for her at times of need. She'll be greatly missed in so many ways and by so many.
Mom, Grandma, we truly love you and hope we live up to your example and expectations.
