On August 14, 1944, Riley Fields Williams was born in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Henry Williams and Amy (Goldwire) Williams. He departed this life on May 2, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by his beloved family who loved him dearly.
Riley is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Arthur, James, and Herman Williams.
He is survived by his cherished children, Andrea (Dwight) Coates and Andre (Tasha) Brown, as well as his adored grandchildren, Destinee Hill, Kenia Brown, Dalen Coates, Leana Brown, and Camden Brown. He also leaves behind a great-grandchild, Alaiya Strickland, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served honorably during the Vietnam War. Riley dedicated many years to his work at D.C.S.C. where he built a fulfilling career before retiring. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and was known for his unwavering faith. A devoted Cincinnati Bengals fan, Riley brought joy and laughter to those around him with his vibrant spirit and humor.
Riley Williams will be remembered for his love, kindness, stubbornness and the impact he made on the lives of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
