Rina Ercoli

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rina Mary Mencarini Ercoli of Chicago, IL on December 7, 2024, at the age of 101.
Rina was born in Chicago, IL on July 23, 1923 to immigrants parents Ines & Paul Mencarini of Lucca, Italy. She was the middle child of three.
Rina didn't have the easiest life, but she had a full life. She spent her life caring for others from her younger brother to some nieces and nephews, children, grandchildren and even other children in the neighborhood. She was always a place of comfort for everyone in our family. She was kind, humble, loving and had such a cute laugh and sense of humor. Rina was also an incredible cook, especially when it came to Italian food and all the recipes she had learned from her mother.
Rina is preceded in death by her parents Ines and Paul Mencarini and her sister Clara Miceli. She is survived by her children Garry (Lisa) Ercoli, Steven Ercoli and Paula Ercoli, her grandchildren Gina Ercoli, Denise Ercoli, Garry Ercoli, Corey Ercoli and Antonio Ercoli, her great-grandchildren Nazarah Bilal and Emani Bilal, daughter-in-law Maggie Ercoli, her brother Paul "Danny" Mencarini and many nieces and nephews.
