Rita Mae Bretzke

BRETZKE, Rita Mae - age 89, of Fenton, died October 6, 2023. A Memorial Service will be 11 AM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth Street, Fenton. Rita was born December 27, 1933 in Pontiac, the daughter of Cecil and Anna (Brown) Leggett. She married David "Jack" Bretzke on July 28, 1951 in Pontiac and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2020. Rita was the secretary at Fenton Junior High School retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Jude Episcopal Church, St. Jude Guild, Entre Nous Literary Club and enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles. Rita also managed F.A.R.R. Thrift Store with her husband, Jack. Surviving are: son, James Bretzke of Fenton; daughter, Wanda (Richard) Spangler of Lancaster, PA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Earl Leggett; sister, Irene Winchester; and infant brother, Donald Leggett. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W.
