Rita lived her life with a great deal of love for her faith and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Reymann and her brothers John, Robert, Edwin and Charles. She is survived by her husband of 43 years John, stepdaughter Annemarie Kowalski and her husband Tom, granddaughters Mia Loria, Molly Moulder and her husband Tyler and great granddaughters Janet, Mallory and Genevieve.
At a young age she showed a talent for music, which she nurtured and developed by majoring in classical piano. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University and a Master of Music degree with Distinction from Indiana University.
For many years she taught piano and music education and served for ten years as a Lecturer in Music at The University of Akron. She became an adjudicator for the National Guild of Piano Teachers and was listed in Who's Who of American Women. She belonged to the Tuesday Musical Association for fifty plus years where she at one time served on the Board of Directors.
Rita volunteered for the American Cancer Society and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Hilary and St. Leo the Great Catholic churches. Her favorite pastimes were cooking, gardening and reading.
A Visitation will take place Thursday August 7, 2025 at St. Hilary Parish located at 2750 W. Market St. Fairlawn, OH 44333 at 9am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am.
