Rita Dancosse Obituary

Born on September 27, 1933 in Wauregan, CT she was the daughter of the late Peter and Florence (Joyal) Briere. A resident of Windham for over 60 years, she worked at Electro-Motive, then at the Mansfield Training School for many years until retiring. She enjoyed trips to the casino, crocheting, knitting and puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Gifford and Bonnie Howlett and husband, Edward both of Windham; 9 grandchildren, Robert Dancosse, Amy Reit, Corey Dancosse, Rommie Dancosse, Desiree Dancosse, Heather Morrison, James Morrison, Tuesday Howlett and Heidi Howlett; 18 great grandchildrern and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Robert P. Dancosse, a sister, Doris Briere, a son-in-law, Peter Gifford, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Dancosse and her grandson, Jamie Dancosse.
Graveside services will be held on Friday Sept 12, at 10:30AM at Windham Center Cemetery 219 Windham Center Rd, Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) or to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
