Myrtle Beach Rita Lewis Doyle, age 74, wife of the late Clarence E. Doyle, Jr. passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Mrs. Doyle was born in Greenville, SC, a daughter of the late Harold Carlyle Lewis and late Annie Ruth Youngblood Lewis Jones. She was the former owner and operator of the Country Kitchen and Arnie's in Myrtle Beach as well as Carolina Yacht Landing in Little River, where she was an interior designer. Mrs. Doyle was the former First Lady of Potentate Clarence Doyle for the Omar Shrine Temple. She was an avid reader, animal lover, and loved listening to live music, especially the oldies and classic rock. Mrs. Doyle was a former antiques and coin collector and loved working in home restorations. She had an adventurous spirit, big personality, incredible sense of humor and enjoyed watching Unsolved Mysteries and true crime documentaries with her daughter. Mrs. Doyle was truly a one of a kind - mother, sister, friend and human being.
Surviving are: one daughter, Jayna Doyle (Blake Arambula) of Austin, Texas; one sister, Patty Huff (Gary) of Greenville, SC; one brother, Mark Lewis (Cindy) of Liberty, SC; three nephews, Geremy Huff (Tonya) of Greenville, SC, Walter "Wally" Doyle (Dana) of Myrtle Beach, and Courtney Lewis (Laura) of Liberty, SC; three nieces, Carla Lewis of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Kerry Brode (Brodie) and Wendy Smith (John Wendell) all of Myrtle Beach; and her caregivers, Dinah Flores and Valerie Nash, whom she thought of as both daughters and sisters. She also leaves behind two beloved furbabies, Monkey and Buck.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Ken Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday.
