Rita Hix Obituary
Rita was the daughter of Marion Pate Smith and Avo Pearlie Maberry Smith. She retired from Stillman's Factory in Cookeville and was affiliated with the Dodson Branch Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bobby S. Hix who passed away on Jan. 3, 2021 and brother, Randall Smith.
Survived by: daughter, Tiffany Meadows of Cookeville TN; sister Brenda Deweese of Cookeville TN; grandchildren Sydney Meadows of Gallatin TN and Konner Meadows of Sparta TN. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive along with many friends.
Visitation will be on Friday 4-8 pm Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 20, 2025 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Dodson Branch Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Dodson Branch Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
