Rita Sue "Taylor" Howe, age 82 passed away May 23, 2025. Rita was born November 18, 1942 to Dicie Mae "Doyal" Taylor and Cecil Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, and also the love of her life, James "Buddy" Howe who passed away on February 1, 2021.
She had struggled and fought a fierce battle against Satan and the cancer he inflicted on her body. Prior to the cancer, she and her lifetime dance partner danced across this country and enjoyed the Western Swing Dance Scene.
She loved the dancing and the travel in the R.V. the dancing afforded. No doubt, while on the dance floor, worries were but a vague memory. She and Buddy danced into many hearts of those that watched them and enjoyed dancing as well. Without Buddy, and the harsh reality of age taking its toll on her body, she slowly shifted her focus from this earthly life to her heavenly life. Oh the joy to be in the presence of our King! To be able to touch those nail scared hands, that pull became too great and she surrendered her will to live. She had 2 good days with friends and loved ones. Mother's Day was spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had reached the place she was comfortable and ready to let go. And peacefully she did. She called to our Father and He did indeed respond. He took her hand and told Satan NO MORE! The torture and torment was to be no more. Indeed she won the battle and is in the presence of our Redeeming, loving father. Pain free, whole, and dancing in the light that will NEVER DIM or fade.
We pray that all who knew and loved our mom – Grammy, hear and respond to that call/whisper/great shout that she responded to. So that the light that she was to you will forever be a light of hope and draw you to our saving King.
She is survived by two daughters and their families, Daphne and Tracy Justus of Iowa Park; Dawn and Muril McDaniel of Magnolia, Texas. Two step daughters Kelly Means and husband Randy of Las Vegas; and Deanna and Dean Sudemeyer of Granbury, Texas. Eight grandchildren and their spouses Eric and Lacey Justus of Windthorst; Mindy and Obie Chestnut of Iowa Park; Amber McDonnel of Frederick, Oklahoma; Meagan and Chris Mathers of Enid, Oklahoma; Paige Roberts of Conroe, Texas; Grace Ann of Texas; Gus and Ben Means of Las Vegas; Lacy and Tyler Newton of Alvord, Texas; and Parker Chestnut of The Colony, Texas.
Also, her great grandchildren, Gracie Justus of Wichita Falls, Texas; Preslie Justus of Iowa Park, Texas; Zaylan McDonnel, Haidyn McDonnel, and Declyn McDonnel of Enid, Texas; Camdyn Mathers of Enid, Oklahoma; and Avery Newton and Bexlie Newton or Alvord, Texas.
There will be a Celebration of Life on June 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Texoma Cowboy Church in Wichita Falls, Texas.

My precious friend... until we meet again. How I loved this remarkable lady who touched so many in so many ways... especially me. Dance on dear one with Buddy, the love of your life... around that big dance floor of gold! I miss you so much but... I´ll see you soon.
