I was flattered to be remembered like I was but so happy to bring out the smiles and the joy to you and your brothers and sisters on such a sad day. Your Mom, "Reet", was like a mother to me way back when. Her smile, her laughter, her sense of humor, and her intellect are what I savor and remember the most. She has left a beautiful legacy in you and all your family. It was a unique and pleasant experience to see you all again, especially you "Kirbs". God bless your mom. My prayers are with her.

So sorry to hear from Doug of your mother's passing.
She was a classy lady and laughed at most of my jokes.
She is one of the people that got me through high school.

I am so saddened to hear of Rita's passing. She was such a sweet and generous lady. I loved when she brought me her fur baby Josephine to groom. Her and I always had a little giggle each time. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Sending blessings and prayers to you all at this difficult time. Rita's greatest delight was sharing news of her wonderful legacy of children, grandchildren, and great-grands when she would visit our Mom.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Kirbys death! She was my Mother's neighbor in Port Austin and she was what a neighbor should be! Kind, helpful, always pleasant, and friendly! Heaven has got another Angel! I am a richer man for having known her! God Bless!

I speak on behalf of the entire Bergdahl family in that we loved your dear Mother, Rita, and she loved us too. It was a blessing that Bert and Rita bought a new house next door to our parents, Don and Jeanne. For that started an everlasting family friendship. Please know that our family has loved your family and will continue to do so forever. My heart gains peace in hoping that our parents are reunited with your parents just as they were when they became new neighbors 68 years ago.
