Rita Lay Obituary
Rita G. Lay 78, of Webster, FL (formerly of Dade City) passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 in Valdosta, GA. She was born March 16, 1942, in Selma, NC to Oscar Waylon Brown & Ola Edna Stout Brown and was a longtime area resident of Dade City. She was a production manager for Multi-Line Can Company and enjoyed spending time with her friends in the Red Hat Society.
Rita is survived by her husband Jewel Lay; 2 children: Leslee Rose and Jewel Clayton Lay; 1 granddaughter Jessica Hancock, 1 great-granddaughter Xaviana Clark, and 1 sister Nilda Brinson. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kippi Clark.
A Service Celebrating her Life will be held 6pm Friday, February 19th, 2021 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Flowers will be gratefully accepted.

Rita was a classmate "1960" and I remember her as always smiling and greeting everyone in her path. She was such a beautiful girl and I'm extending my sympathies to the family in this very difficult time.
