Rita L. Medina

Rita Medina of Northglenn, Colorado passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 75 in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born December 13, 1949, in Denver, Colorado to Manuel and Catalina Rodriguez.
Rita grew up in Denver as part of a large and loving family, alongside her two brothers and five sisters. At the young age of 12, she met the love of her life, Louis Medina. The two married in 1968 in Denver, where they made their home and raised their family. Rita was a devoted wife to Louis, mother to her four children, and a beloved caretaker to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A true sports fan, Rita loved all Colorado sports but especially loved cheering on the Denver Broncos. She found joy in playing bingo and going to “The Hill” with Louis to play video poker. Rita treasured time with her family and never missed the chance to attend her grandchildren’s school activities, dance performances, and sporting events.
Rita lived her life with deep faith in God. Recently, she and Louis renewed their vows, receiving the sacrament of marriage in the Catholic Church, an occasion that brought her immense joy.
Rita is survived by her husband; Louis Medina, her children; LouAnne, LouAnthony (Maggie), Rico (Lisa), and Adam (Linda), her siblings; Dolores “Gerri” Rodriguez (Mike) and Marge Bernard, as well as her twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter; Baby Lynn Medina her sisters; Gloria, Rosie, and Eva, her brothers; Rick and Fernando, and her parents; Manuel and Catalina Rodriguez.
Rita will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering love for her family, and her strong and enduring faith. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and treasured memories.
Mass will be held on Friday December 12th at 11am at St. Mark Catholic Church,3141 W 96th Ave. Westminster CO 80031. A reception will follow at Legacy Event Center, 9051 N. Harlan St. Unit 300 Westminster, CO 80031.
