Rita Joy Michaelson

Rita Joy Michaelson (nee Schuman), 80, of Pikesville, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband Lou Michaelson; her cherished son David (Joanne) Michaelson; her adored grandsons Billy Michaelson and Todd Michaelson; her sister-in-law Dona Kahn; her nephews Randy Sandow and Andy Kahn; and by her niece Melissa Rudman. She was predeceased by her sister Jackie (Mel) Sandow; her brother-in-law Steven Michaelson; and by her parents Dorothy and Mayor Schuman.

Rita spent many years volunteering for Women's American ORT and traveling around the world and country. Rita was a compassionate and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.

Services at Beth El Memorial Park, 9701 Liberty Road Randallstown, MD 21133, on Monday, March 7th, 2022 at 2:30pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Alzheimer's Association of Maryland, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093. The family will be in mourning at 64 Beecham Court, Owings Mills, MD 21117 on following interment with a service at 6:30pm on Monday and on Tuesday from 1pm to 4:30pm and 6pm to 9pm, with a service at 6:30pm.
