February 6, 2025. Age 96. Beloved wife of the late J. Henry "Hank". Loving mother of Gary (Gerrie) Spezia, Barbara (Don) Osowski, Alan (Sue) Spezia, Diane Spezia (Larry Waniolek), and Mary (Chris) Viney. Proud grandmother of Kevin, Fiona, Lisa, Stephen, Michael, Christopher, Michelle, Tyler, Olivia, Renee, Sheri, & great grandmother of Tessa, Faye, Lola, Sloane, Leona, Morgan, Lucas, Avery, Abigail, and Hank. Dear sister of Jim Kraus, the late Jack Kraus, the late Tom Kraus, and the late Ann Getz. Predeceased by her dear friend & cousin Mary McCabe. Survived by many loving nieces & nephews.
Visitation Monday 3-8pm with Prayer Service 7:00pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). In state Tuesday 9:30am until the 10:00am Mass at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church (41300 Romeo Plank Rd. Clinton Township). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Donations preferred to the Pope Francis Center (2915 W Hancock St, Detroit, MI 48208)Share memories with the family at their "On-Line Guest Book" @ WujekCalcaterra.com.

Rita was one of my favorite clients. She became like a mother to me after I lost my own mom 20 years ago. I always looked forward to her monthly salon visits and I just loved her precious spirit! She always had her own style and matched every detail of her outfits, even her jewelry! I loved hearing her stories of her and Hank and all her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy! I heard about every field goal that Olivia kicked and all the great achievements of all of them! She looked forward to every occasion and enjoyed every detail! These last few years she never left the salon without giving me a big hug and whispering in my ear, "I love you"! I loved her too!
She will be missed.
