Rita Ruth (Webb) Stover, 75, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2025.
Rita was born on August 11, 1949, in Enid, Oklahoma to Lyel and Ruth Webb. She graduated from Enid High School in 1967 and remained rooted in her hometown for much of her life. She worked for many years at Coolidge Elementary School in Enid, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of countless children and families.
Later, Rita moved to Kiefer, Oklahoma, where she served as Town Administrator-a position she held with integrity, dedication, and pride until her retirement in 2016. After retiring, she relocated to Edmond to be closer to her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and fulfillment.
Her bond with her grandson Liam, born in 2020, was especially close. Rita cherished their daily time together, and the connection they shared became one of the most meaningful chapters of her life.
Rita will be remembered for her quiet strength, unwavering devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought to every room. She is survived by her son Zac Stover and daughter-in-law Lisa of Edmond; her beloved grandchildren Jolie, Wesley, and Liam; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyel and Ruth Webb.
A Celebration of Life for Rita will be 11:00 am, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, Enid, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Rita's memory be made to Autism Oklahoma or Labelled and Loved, nonprofit organizations that were close to her heart.
