Mr. River Burks

Funeral services for Mr. River Burks, 20, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Stephen Ihlenfeldt and Pastor David Proctor officiating. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, before the service at the funeral home and following the committal service at the cemetery.

Mr. Burks passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2026. Joining him in his Heavenly homecoming was his cousin KJ. River was born June 6, 2005, in Henderson. He had worked as a ranch hand and formerly attended The Father's House church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jo Ann Ramey, and Clifford and Inez Burks, brother Stephen "Scooter" Longtin, and two uncles and one aunt.

Survivors include his wife Mylei Burks of Henderson; parents Ronnie and Bonnie Burks; mom Destiny Simpson; father-in-law and mother-in-law Danny and Bianca Brown; daughter Madilyn Walker-Dykes; brothers and sisters and their spouses B.J. Wilson, Chandler Martin and Brianna, Dahlton Burks, Jessi Burks and Justin, and Timber Burks; 5 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Lewis Owens, Chandler Martin, Logan Winn, Rustin Belcher, Aydin Wilson, and Kollin Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dahlton Burks and Jeremiah "Turtle" Belcher.
