R.L. McCuller

R L "Chuck" McCuller was born December 29, 1941, in Union, MS, to Ardell and Emma Lucille McCuller. After bravely battling a lengthy illness, he eased into eternal rest on February 17, 2026, at Plaza Community Living Center in Pascagoula, MS.

R L has been a resident of Pascagoula for most of his life. He was employed at the Longfellow House in Pascagoula, later seeking employment at Ingalls Shipbuilding of Pascagoula. He retired from International Longshoremen Local 1752 as a crane operator. He was known to be a skilled operator and took pride in training several other longshoremen to operate a crane.

Chuck loved fast cars and could often be found at the racetrack or hanging out with his friend and mentor, the late Paul VanderLey. He believed wholeheartedly that Paul would make his car a little faster. After he aged, he found joy hanging with the guys, listening to music, and talking about fast cars. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jeffery Jerome McCuller; two brothers, John and J D McCuller; and his loving sister, Mandy Lucille McCuller. Left to cherish his memories are, his wife, Sandra McCuller; two daughters, Paula McCuller Davis and Tiffany McCuller; one son, Aaron McCuller; a devoted cousin and mentor, Lenda (Curtis) Kimble; grandchildren, Kamecia McCuller (Nate) Jones, Gabrielle Grey, Victoria Walker, Erin Greyson, Lameshia and Lakeshia McCuller, Kyias Sellers, Andreas McCuller and Aaron McCuller, Jr.; Goddaughter, Khloe Romelus; stepson, Steven (Daricha) Nicholson; stepdaughter, Juandolyn (Tim) Fleming. Bonus grandchildren: Morgan and Madison Fleming, Sydni and Stevan Nicholson.; Mother in law, Mable Bradley; Brothers in law, Kenneth (Roslyn), Hubert, Jessie and Lamon Bradley; Sisters in law; Florestine and Ernestine Nicholson, Creole Brazzle, Mary( Glenn) Bradley; bonus aunts; Mollie Nicholson and Pearlie (Johnny) Thomas.; special cousins; Kenny McNeil, Jr.,Terrance Burton, Kristie Kimble, Willie M. Brazzle, James Edward Wess, and Alice Brazzle; devoted nephew, Curtis Norvell; Devoted friends; Rufus Mosley, Wilson Richardson, O J Oatis, Darrell Graham, Dan VanderLey, Sam Jones, Louis Armstrong, Bernadine Richardson and Deborah Ross and Curtis Shank. Also, numerous other relatives and friends.
