Rob Rosburg, 55, of Grinnell, died on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Rob's family will receive friends at a memorial gathering held from 3:00 pm until 8 pm on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.

Memorials may be designated to PALS (Poweshiek Animal League Shelter) and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112. Condolences may be offered to Rob's family online at www.smithfh.com.

Robert (Rob) Harley Rosburg was born on December 24, 1969, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Eugene Lowell Rosburg and Alene Ann (Sherling) Rosburg. He was raised in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School with the Class of 1988. He went on to attend Iowa State University.

On January 9, 1999, Robert was united in marriage to Tracy Sue Cooper at Herrick Chapel in Grinnell. Together they made their home in Grinnell and Rob worked at Alliant Energy as a Gas Foreman since 1991.

Rob was an outdoorsman at heart who found joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. He also loved working on cars and watching NASCAR races. A proud supporter of the Second Amendment, Robert enjoyed crafting and working on firearms. He was known as someone who was always ready to lend a hand to others. Above all, Robert's greatest love was his family.

Rob is survived by his mother, Alene Rosburg of Estherville; his wife of 26 years, Tracy Rosburg of Grinnell; stepdaughter, Tabitha (Samantha) Jensen of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Ryker Hall of Sioux City, Nebraska and Rylee (Dalton) Gosselink of Grinnell; great - grandchildren Wyatt Gosselink, Lucas Jensen, Annaliese Gosselink, and unborn great - grandson Grayson Gosselink; his brother, Rod (Allison) Rosburg of Grinnell and their children, Holly (Greg) Rosburg; their children Laekyn and Wesley; and Emily Rosburg. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Rosburg in 1985; and stepson, Ryan Hall in 2011.
