Robbin Lee Lindula, age 83, of Park Rapids, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Crystal Brook Senior Living Center in Park Rapids. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Runeberg Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga, Minnesota, with visitation one hour prior. The Wevley Funeral Home of Sebeka, Minnesota is entrusted with arrangements.
Robbin was born on August 2, 1942, to Walter and Doris (Bykonen) Lindula in Wadena, Minnesota. When he was around the age of fifteen, his parents moved from Sebeka to Auburn, Washington, where he graduated from Auburn High School in June 1960. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for four years; attaining the rank of Airman First Class. Robbin was united in marriage to Joan Loretta Tormanen on her 22nd birthday, October 8, 1966. That same year he started working as an engineer for the railroad and retired in 2008 after 43 years as a “Hoghead”. After 55 years of marriage, Joan passed away, then in September of 2022, Robbin returned to Minnesota to be closer to family and friends.
In Robbin’s spare time he gardened and cleaned his cars. He enjoyed fishing, feeding and watching the birds. Robbin’s hobbies were collecting guns, coins, and train sets. Robbin’s Faith and love for the Lord was a big part of his life. Robbin will be remembered for his quick-witt and sense of humor.
He is survived by his three brothers: Tim, Rick (Kim); and Chris (Martin); a sister, Fiina; a brother-in-law, Richard (Anne) Tormanen; sisters-in-law: Grace Niska, and Susan Tormanen; and many loving relatives and special friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his parents, Walter and Doris; his brother, Steve; his sister, Lynette; and brothers-in-law, Robert and Calvin Tormanen.
