I remember Robel as a teen and a friend of my son who visited in our home in Albany. Robel was handsome, with chieseled features reflective of his Ethiopian heritage. He was always polite with me, smart, articulate, and ambitious to get ahead in life. It was with great sadness that my son told me of his death last week, another young person gone much too soon. I am heartbroken for his family and for his friends.
