Robert Brandon Abney

Robert Brandon Abney, age 41, of Winchester, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Brandon was born in Madison County on July 16, 1984. He had worked for Republic Waste Management. His musical talent included playing the drums and guitar, singing the vocal part while recording his work. His band, The Garage Gooroos, was where he displayed his talent best. He was also quite the artist when it came to drawing. In the words of his dad, "He was a genius." He loved his family very much and was deeply loved in return.
Brandon united in marriage to Misty Morris Abney who survives.
In addition to his wife, Brandon is survived by his father: Robert David Abney; his mother: Shayne Day (& Roger) Lewis, one daughter: Hayden Kelly Abney, his brother: Tyler Jay Combs, two stepdaughters: Krystin Burns and Jaci Preeo, his paternal grandmother: Irene Miller Abney, his maternal grandmother: Harriet Murphy Allen and his uncles, aunts, nieces and nephew.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Robert Abney and his maternal grandfather: Charles Allen.
A Committal Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Richmond Cemetery Shelter with Austin Miller officiating.
Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
