Robert Allen "Bob" Adams, born on August 14, 1941, in Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in Sanders, Kentucky. A devoted family man and respected member of his community, Bob epitomized the spirit of service throughout his life. He retired in 2024 from his position at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital Information Desk, but his contributions to the community spanned many years and roles, including working as a Courier Journal Delivery Agent, a bus driver for Carroll County Schools, and a Deputy Jailer for Carroll County Jail. Bob also showcased his entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating Bob-A-Lin Bakery.
Bob was a cherished member of The Pentecostals of Carrollton, where his faith and kindness touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a loving family who will carry forward his legacy of compassion and dedication.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Lou Tharp Adams, and their daughters, Lori Lynn (Rusty) Bennett of Sanders, KY, and Kimberly Sue Adams of Sanders, KY. He is also survived by his sister, Nellena Adcock of Carrollton, KY, and his brother, James Adams of Upton, KY. Bob was a proud grandfather to Nathaniel (Jamie) Bennett of Virginia Beach, VA, Natalie (Jacob) Profitt of Middletown, OH, Lorinda Bennett of Sanders, KY, Bryan (Kayla) Wallace of Ghent, KY, Ainsley (Travis) Spenneberg of Ghent, KY, as well as to his cherished great grandchildren: Charlotte Bennett, Harper Bennett, Clark Profitt, Waylon Spenneberg, and Owen Spenneberg.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Warren Tevis Adams, and his mother, Hilda Riffle Adams. He was also preceded by his sisters: Ruth Beaubeir, Mable Berry, Helen Spurlock, and Nancy Berry, along with his brothers: Kenneth C. Adams, Samuel E. Adams, Albert C. Adams, Omer Adams, Warren Adams, Merle D. Adams, William Forrest Adams, Tim Adams, Thomas L. Adams, and Forrest Adams. Additionally, he is predeceased by his grandchild, Lorin Kayla Bennett.
A visitation for friends and family will be held on January 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on January 12, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Relevant Church in Carrollton, KY. A funeral service will take place on January 12, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Bob Adams will be remembered for his warmth, unwavering support, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. He leaves behind a legacy of love for family, dedication to work, and a deep commitment to his faith and community.
