Robert Adams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Northern Peace Funeral Home Inc on Mar. 16, 2026.
Robert Eugene Adams, Jr., "Babaamose nookaa ma'iingan", which means "Walk Soft Wolf", age 41, of Brainerd, MN, began his spiritual journey on March 10, 2026 in Brainerd. He was born on October 10, 1984 in Crookston, MN the son of Robert E. Adams, Sr. and Sandra J. Stangle.

Robert was a very hilarious guy who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was compassionate toward everyone he knew, especially with his children. Robert was very good with not only his own children, but with his relatives' children too. He was an all-around good guy who enjoyed spending time with his family, and that included the times working with his dad as they did roofing. He attended his first Timber Wolves Basketball game just a week ago while going for his nephew's birthday. Robert made it more special by taking his youngest son to the game, just so he could enjoy his reaction. He touched the lives of everyone he encountered, and he will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

The family that Robert joins again are his brother, Jeremy; both maternal and paternal grandparents; numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Robert Sr. and Sandra, sons; Robert "Niswe" III, Romero, Jeremy, Mahkonce, and Bezhag Adams, special son and daughter; Peyton and Alexa, brothers; Goozie Eagan and Dylan Adams, sisters; Lacy Adams and Erica Roy, other relatives and many friends.

A wake for Robert will begin at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and will continue until the 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026, traditional service all held at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake. Spiritual advisor will be John Goodman. Pallbearers will be Robert "Niswe" Adams, III, Peyton Leabch, Tim Adams, Sayg Walker, Solo Walker, Tom Adams, Darryl Adams and LeRoy Wadena. Honorary pallbearers are all his relatives and friends. Interment will be in the Mission Cemetery following the service.

Robert's care has been entrusted to the Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN. Online condolences for the family may be given at www.northernpeace.com
