Bob, was my gym teacher . He had wonderful qualities . day one I could tell he was compassionate and caring . thank you Mr. Addis Shine on sir like the warm sun ,you warmed our hearts . you did well, see you in heaven champ , yes; I will Amen .....

My condolences. Though time has passed since losing your loved one, may ~1 Thessalonians 4:14 give you hope to see him again.

I did not know Bob Addis personally, but we spent several hours on the telephone during the summer of 1913 in a multi-part interview for my book on the rivalry between the Millers and Saints. He was generous with his time, direct with his answers and gave me his best effort in answering my questions. It was a memorable experience during which I really felt as though I knew him. I'm tremendously grieved by his passing and just wish I would have maintained the correspondence. The book was published in 2014, sporting a photo of the 1949 St. Paul Saints, the team he excelled with, a gift to me from Mr. Addis. I certainly regret never meeting him. I'm sure we would have become fast friends. Given his straight-forwardness and no-nonsense appeal, there's no doubt in my mind Bob had many friends. Rest in Peace, Bob Addis.
