Robert Agree, 70, of Morris Plains, passed on in peace and with love on January 15, 2026 from cancer.

Rob (or Robby) was born on December 1, 1955 to Lee and George Agree, and raised in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Robby graduated from Sleepy Hollow High early to attend Wesleyan University. He took time off of college to join the merchant marine, before returning to college. He then became a paralegal at a large NYC law firm, where he met a new lawyer at the firm, who became the love of his life, Melissa Biren.

Rob and Melissa, married for almost 43 years, had three children, Isaac, Ava, and Adam. His family later included wives Brenly, Angie and Kathleen, and two grandchildren, Evy and Sunny. He went on to a career as an educator, teaching elementary school and then as an administrator. As an educator, as founding member and lay ceremonial leader of Kahal Chaverim, the Congregation for Humanistic Judaism, and as a husband, father, grandfather and friend; Rob's voice and stories inspired many.

To the end his twin passions were his family and his house on Lake George. Rob wasn't just better than pleasant, he was everything delightful.

Services will be held at the Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph, NJ on January 18th at 11:00 am, followed by Shiva at Rob and Melissa's home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
