Robert Albrecht Obituary

Robert "Bob" Albrecht, age 75, of Bethlehem Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026.
Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Bob was the beloved son of the late Robert A. Albrecht and Claire E. (née Gladstone) Albrecht. A lifelong New Jersey resident, he made his home in Asbury, where he was deeply connected to the land, the river, and the community he loved.
Bob shared 52 devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife, Terri L. (VanderWaal) Albrecht. Together they built a life rooted in love, creativity, partnership, and family. Bob was a proud and loving father to his sons, Ken Albrecht and his wife Shannon of Clinton, NJ, and Scott Albrecht and his wife Malena of Brooklyn, NY. He was also a cherished brother to Beth Berry of Tarpon Springs, FL, Robin Preziotti of Canton, GA, and Richard Albrecht of Littleton, CO.
A gifted artist and creative professional, Bob worked as an illustrator and Art Director at AT&T headquarters in Bedminster, NJ. Alongside Terri, he also owned and operated Albrecht Illustration and Design, where his talent, precision, and imagination left a lasting mark. His work reflected not only technical excellence but also a deep appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
Bob's passions extended far beyond his professional life. He found great joy in fishing, furniture building, illustration, and the meticulous art of making and hand-carving powder horns. A devoted steward of history and nature, Bob proudly participated in the annual Christmas Day reenactment of Washington's Crossing of the Delaware at Washington Crossing State Park. He was an active member of the Musconetcong Watershed Association in Asbury, where he helped care for the Musconetcong River and participated in trout stocking efforts. He was also involved with the Friends of Washington Crossing, reflecting his enduring respect for history and preservation.
Bob will be remembered for his quiet strength, his creative spirit, his deep love of nature and history, and his unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the beauty he created, the traditions he honored, and the many lives he touched through his kindness, craftsmanship, and generosity of spirit.
Friends and relatives may visit with Bob's family on Saturday, January 10th from 11:00 until 12:30PM with a funeral service in remembrance of Bob beginning at 12:30. All service will be held at Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name may be made to the Musconetcong Watershed Association, https://www.musconetcong.org/giving or to Friends of Washington Crossing https://www.washingtoncrossingpark.org/donate/. Both were meaningful to Bob.

I worked at AT&T back in the 80´s. John Fajvan, Terry Keanen and I were friends. They work with Bob as they were designers and illustrators too. I was always in awe of the talent that Bob had. Just today I was in an antique store in Lambertville. They had a handful of the horse and rider bronze sculptures. Brought me right back to when Bob had shown us the one he was working on. It was so professionally executed and I had so much respect for him and his talent. He was a really great family man too.
So sorry for your loss.
