Mr. Robert Emory "Bob" Alexander

Robert Emory Alexander passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 78. Bob was born on September 6, 1947, at Seneca Hospital to the late Emory Alexander, Jr. and Suzanne Chatham Alexander Sanders. He was raised in Tamassee until he moved to North Dakota at the age of 14. He graduated from Central High School, Devils Lake, ND. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1969. In 1969, he went into the United States Army and was discharged from active duty in 1972 with the rank of Captain. He was further discharged from the Army Reserves with the rank of Major. He subsequently attended law school, graduating in 1975. Bob practiced law in Beulah, ND. He later retired to Lake Cherokee in Tamassee, SC. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Diane; his two daughters: Elizabeth Dalton (Bret) and Kathryn Alexander; and two grandchildren: Jane Dalton and Bruce Dalton. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother: Laye Alexander. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Davenport Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
