It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Robert Lynn Allen, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 62. Robert was born on August 7, 1962, in Natchitoches Parish, LA to Murl Lynn Allen and Patricia Ann Byrd. He was a cherished member to his family, and a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Robert was known for his kind heart, his love of fishing, hunting, and volunteering for the local fire station as well as always sitting on his back porch with a fire in his fir pit even if the weather was 80 degrees. He was a proud member of the community, and a dedicated fireman for the fire station in his area. He is survived by his sister, Cindy Rollinson (Marty), his brothers, Harry Van Hook (Shirley Ann Sepulvado), Joe Van Hook, Clarence Van Hook (Tracy). He was predeceased by his parents, Murl Lynn Allen and Patricia Ann Byrd, Grandparents Johnnie & Lorene Pittman, M.L Allen & Lois. And his life partner Jerri Price.
A celebration of his life will be held at Coldwater Baptist Church on April 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM, visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at Coldwater Church. The service will be delivered by Tim Leach.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him." He will leave behind a legacy of positive thoughts, love, laughter and kindness. You could tell him something and nothing or anyone could get it out of him.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Solice, Jerry Wise, Durwood Wilson, Tony Tier, Kade Mangham and Bill McElwee.
Honorary pallbearers are: Joseph Dudley Conant, Jay Wood
