Dr. Robert Harold Allshouse

Wonderful memories of sailing with Dr. Allshouse and my VMA classmates. I remember him teaching us to be "anti-bashers"--the very important duty of keeping the boat from hitting the pier. So sorry for your loss Heather. May you be filled beautiful memories to carry you and your family through this difficult time.

Prayers and condolences go out to all of Dr. Allshouse's beloved. We share the earthly loss of someone who made history and humanity live in the classroom and all around him. I treasure my Gannon experience with him. May God bless and keep you.

Bob was so special in all he did.

Just by chance perusing the Erie Obits and happened upon a person who had a tremendous impact on my life. As advisor and mentor in the late 1970's Dr Allshouse helped me attain my life's goal of completing college and being commissioned in the US Army. I have led a successful life and travelled all around the world in large part due to Dr Allshouse and his help and guidance. No one can ever really know the numerous lives this man has had a positive impact on, but let this be the testimony of but one.

Dr.Robert Allshouse was also known as "Oz" by many of his Cathedral Prep classmates from1958. His impressive life accomplishments were eclipsed by his warmth, charm and kindness.

Farewell, dear friend and commodore. Follow the one true North Star. May we meet again on the other shore.

Bobby and I enjoyed many sailing adventures together (okay it was just sailing over to Port Dover), and he was my cousin and mentor. I will greatly miss him.
