Robert "Bob" Warner Anderson (Butcher), age 58, passed away unexpectedly March 31, 2025, in his home.   He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.

He was born on May 31, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carol Riegler and Robert L. Anderson.

Robert grew up in Duchesne where he tried to outrun deer, played football, and won awards in wrestling. He graduated from Duchesne High in 1984.

Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a weapons instructor, and was training to join the security forces team. He was a Marine through and through and was devastated when he was injured in a fast roping accident that ultimately resulted in his being medically discharged. Robert served for five years, achieving the rank of Corporal (E-4).

He met Lisa Smith shortly after graduating boot camp, and they were married in May 86’. They were blessed with their daughter, Monica, 9 months later.

He married Lori Connelley in February 95’. They had two children; his son David, and daughter Ashlee.

He married Jefrilyn Bannon in May 98’. He then welcomed four more children into his life; Stephen, Daniel, Heather and Aimee'.

Robert loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and being with family. He taught many of his grandchildren how to swim and enjoyed spending time with them in the wilderness. Some of his favorite camping and fishing spots were Moon Lake and Strawberry Reservoir.

Robert also enjoyed working outdoors. One of his greatest accomplishments was assisting in the building of Jordanelle Dam. He reminisced and spoke on it every time he passed by.

He was a cowboy through and through. He not only taught many people how to ride but also trained many horses - his favorite horse being Bailey.

His greatest dream was to live out his life on a large plot of land on which he would invite all his children to live near him. He loved to laugh and was never happier than when his children and grandchildren surrounded him.

Robert is survived by his children, Monica (Lloyd) Ramey, David (Tifany) Atchley, Ashlee Atchley, Aimee’ (Jared) Hancock, Heather (Dan) Olsen, Stephen Ashby, and Daniel Ashby; his grandchildren, Ben and Phoebe (Monica), Bentlee and Emery (David), Brayden (Ashlee), Easton, Ryelyn and Jaxton (Aimee), Tucker and Fisher (Heather), Quinn (Stephen), Anthony, Makayla and Sydnee (Daniel), and his mother, Carol Herrera, sister, Tonia Peterson; brothers, Steven and Scott Butcher, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marion Riegler; adoptive father, Gordon Butcher; aunt, Kathy Eggers; and brother-in-law, Gordon Peterson

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Duchesne City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Duchesne American Legion, Marine Honor Guard and the Patriot Guard Riders.
