Robert Francis Aumack

Bob was my skipper in VF-162 and a lifelong friend thereafter. My daughter worked in Monterey and I always tried to spend some time with him when I visited her.

My heart hurts. He was friends with my mom and dad. My Godfather. So much love.

Bob was my first Commanding Officer after I completed training in the F-8 Crusader. He was truly "an officer and a gentleman." His kindness and wisdom were unsurpassed and I will always remember him and value his friendship. "Throw a nickel on the grass."

Bob was a close family friend of both my parents. My first memory of him is seeing him fly over my house and tip his wings as he landed at NAS Norfolk when he was Commander of the Blue Angels. He was a kind man who stayed close to our family for decades.
