Of Melrose and South Yarmouth, MA (formerly of Malden, MA and Naples, FL), passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Beloved husband of the late Anne (Haggerty) Austin and the late Patricia (Jones) Austin. Loving father of Joanne Austin of Malden, MA. Devoted son of the late Edmund and Teresa (Mulkern) Austin. He was the first of four children and beloved brother of the late John Austin, the late Paul Austin and his late wife Sheila (Gannon), the late Janet Austin-Faelten. Brother-in-law of Margaret (Jones) Herbert and her late husband Daniel Herbert of Winthrop, MA, and Thomas Jones and his wife Martha of Virginia Beach, VA. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and family friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10AM on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Services will conclude with interment at Forestdale Cemetery in Malden.
