Robert “B.J.” Conrad, 74, of Walker, WV passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, after a prolonged illness at Marietta Memorial Hospital on November 20, 2025.
Son of the late William Leonard and Rosemary Conrad, B.J. was born November 23, 1950 in Houston, Texas. He was a proud lifelong United States Marine Corps veteran, loyally serving his country for four years. B.J. was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. He was known for being a hard worker, instructing Right-to-Carry classes and retiring from Verizon Phone Company as a dedicated lineman. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting and mounting knives, participating in cowboy shoots, playing cards and watching Old Westerns.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, B.J. was preceded in death by his son, John Wesley “Wes” Conrad and step-son, Christopher Jason Davidson.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Deborah “Debbie” Conrad; daughters, Dawn Marie Conrad (Brandi), Carol Lucille Johnson, and Debbie Davidson; son, David Lee Rader (Teresa); grandchildren, Chelsea, Tyler, Garret, Aleta, Mason, Cassandra, and Derick; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Tracy Lynn Conrad; uncles, George Conrad (Carla) and Rusty Conrad (Marti); his beloved dogs, Shadow, Lacey, and Dakota; as well as several other friends and family who will miss him dearly.
There will be no public services and a private cremation will take place.
