A funeral service for Robert L. Bachhofer, Jr., 92, of Azle will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 17, 2025, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel located at 512 N, Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76033, with Reverend Charles Payne and Reverend Donnie Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Kopperl Cemetery, Morgan, Texas. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 9:00 -10:00AM at the funeral home prior to service. The family request that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, the American Heart Association at www.heart.or, or to the giver's choice of charity in lieu of floral tributes for the service.
Robert L. Bachhofer, Jr., a beloved member of the community, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on June 18, 1933, in Kopperl, Texas, Robert led a life marked by faith, service, and dedication.
Having called Azle home since 2010, Robert was known for his strong ties to the local community and his unwavering commitment to his church. He devoted 14 years to Calvary Baptist Church, where he found purpose in working alongside men on the family life center and the Annex building, further exemplifying his dedication to nurturing both his faith and community.
A man of profound belief, Robert read through the Bible an impressive 17 times, which underscored the central role of spirituality in his life. His faith was a guiding force and a source of inspiration not only for himself but for those fortunate enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Bachhofer, Sr. and Zelma Lee (Culpepper) Bachhofer; his beloved wife, Pauline (Payne) Bachhofer; and his niece, Ellen Morris.
Robert is survived by his nieces and nephews, Brian Morris, Helen Wallace and her husband Clarence, Johnetta Allred and her husband Scott; great-nieces and nephews Sandy McKinley, Bryan and Shani Morris, and Becky and James Grant, Danny and Kathy Morris, and a host of other relatives and friends who cherished his gentle spirit and kindness.
Robert L. Bachhofer, Jr. will be remembered not only for his faith and community service but also for the love he shared with his family and friends.
