Bob was a cherished friend. He regularly communicated with me, and our discussions spanned a wide array of topics. His most significant focus was on politics and the condition of our nation. He consistently expressed concern for my well-being and included me in his contingency plans; we even devised a code for communication in the event of a catastrophic scenario, which we often approached with humor.
During periods when I felt disheartened, he had a remarkable ability to find the right words to uplift my spirits. I held him in high regard as one of the few individuals I could genuinely consider a true friend.
Over the past few years, his importance in my life deepened significantly. Today, I received the confirmation of his passing, which clarifies the reason for his recent absence. My growing concern had gradually transformed into dread, and I had hoped that this was not the cause of his silence.
I love you, Bob, and I will miss you profoundly.
