Robert Freddie Barney

Robert was born on July 14, 1933 and passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Robert was a resident of West Virginia at the time of passing. He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and was also educated at RCA Electronics. Freddie served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from September 22 1953 until his honorable discharge at the rank of Private First Class on September 21 1955. He served with the 6th Infantry Division and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Robert was married to Mary. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 27 2017 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home 7 Cremation Center 95 Union Street Berkeley Springs WV with Pastor Rodney C. Truax officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Tri-State Honor Guard will be in Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery Fulton County PA. The family will receive friends from 2-4 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
