Born in Los Angeles, CA, on August 8th, 1946, Robert embodied the spirit of the city: lively, resilient, and full of dreams. He was a man of integrity and kindness, a beacon of strength for those around him. As Albert Pine once said, "What we do for ourselves dies with us. Robert's contributions to his family, friends, and community have created an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire and guide those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Victoria, whom he married on June 15, 1968. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love and companionship. He was a loving father to his three sons, Jason, William, and Matthew, and a caring father-in-law to Adrian, Stacey, and Kirsten. Robert was a proud grandfather, cherishing every moment he spent with Aubrey, Anna, Sara, David, Sammy, Lizzy, and Evelyn. He also welcomed with open arms his step-daughter, Eva. His love for his family was boundless, and he was often seen radiating immense joy during family gatherings. He was a pillar of support and love for his brother-in-law, Gordon and his wife Monica. The love and warmth he shared with his family will forever remain in their hearts.

In his life, Robert was preceded by his loving parents, Virgil and Viola Barringer.
