Robert Batting Obituary
A boating enthusiast, Robert, Joan, family and friends spent many hours on his beloved Caledonia, thoroughly enjoying the beautiful New England waters. He was also a proud member of the Barrington Garden Club, Unaffiliated.
Robert adored his family, and leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Joan Reeves Thergesen Batting; his children, Kimberley (Clayton) Miles, Graham (Jeanne) Batting, Brian Batting, and Ashley Batting (Jim Hunt); six grandchildren - Graham Miles, Christopher (Ellen) Miles, Callie Miles, Ben Batting, Rowan Batting, Sorrel Batting; his brother Doug (Barbara) Batting, and step-sister Ann Williard. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Batting, sister-in-law, Susie Batting, and step-brother, Ken Morley.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on July 19th, 2025, at 11:30 am at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, Barrington, RI or the Bristol, RI animal shelter.

My condolences to the Batting family on Bob´s passing. I met Bob through the Barrington Garden Club unaffiliated when we usually met monthly to discuss the political or other topics of the day. He was a great conversationalist and a lot of fun to debate with. He will be deeply missed.
